Life sometimes is so unfair.

I am looking at my computer screen wanting to write something but sometimes there are no words to explain what we feel inside. On Monday evening, one of my daughter’s basketball teammate lost her dad after a long courageous battle with leukemia.  I sit here trying to write but I go back to the day that her mom came up to me and said that all she wants is a portrait of her husband, daughter and her. Needless to say, we never got around to it. Why is that we are always going in twenty million directions. People, we need to stop a smell the coffee. I don’t want to get on a soapbox about this but the cost of a memory is priceless. We are all on this earth temporarily and we need to capture as many memories as we can with the people we love. So I am asking a favor from every one of you to please preserve your family history with a portrait. It will be the best present that you can leave your children.

A Word of Advice in Choosing Your Wedding Photographer

Tuesday was Valentine's Day and the news said that there will be 4 million people who will get engaged on this day. You probably have not come down from the high of the day but you will soon be planning your dream wedding. I just wanted to give you a little word of advice when it comes to choosing your wedding photographer. There are so many wedding photographers out there now for you to choose from so please, please do your homework before choosing the photographer that will capture your dream wedding. I have heard too many sad stories after the wedding day that I don't want it to happen to you.

The photography is going to be one of the most worthwhile investments you will make. Take a moment to contemplate all of the things you will need for your wedding day, such as an elegant dress, beautiful flowers, an awesome cake, great food, great music and the perfect setting to enjoy all this. Just remember, that at the end of the day when the flowers have wilted, the food and cake is gone, the music has stopped and the gown is preserved - the only thing you will have to relive your wonderful wedding day over and over again in the coming years will be your wedding photographs.  Your wedding day is a once-in-a-lifetime memory, so you should choose a photographer the way you chose each other - by looking for something you'll love and treasure forever.

Meet Tubby!

JUST SO CUTE!

Check out the photographs that I took of Tubby. He is only 2 months and so cute.
The day of the session I had a pair of shoes that has tassels on them
and all he wanted to do was to chew on them but I was able to get him on
the other side of the camera and get some gorgeous photographs of him. Enjoy!!!
