Thank You

Just wanted to say a quick thank you to everyone that came out for our Halloween Food Drive. I presented 65 cans to the soup kitchen at St. John's Episcopal Church in Waterbury. Also a thank you goes out to the clients of Monkey Business who signed up to have me photograph their children. We raised $125 for St. Jude Children Foundation. I know times are tough for everyone but you all came out and supported the food drive and St. Jude. Thank you so much.

To continue with our gift giving, we will be at the Natural & Organic Pet Food store at 572 Middlebury Rd. in Middlebury on Sunday-Nov. 28th from 11am to 2pm photographing pets with Santa. For the third year in a row, the readers of the Waterbury Observer voted the Best Wedding Photographer in Waterbury to Uniquely Yours Photography.

Every year the Waterbury Observer conducts a poll and asks their readers to select the best businesses in greater Waterbury. The Observer distributes 28,000 ballots in March and April and asks their readers to sit down and select, among others, their favorite restaurants, mechanics, doctors and so on. It boils down to what businesses in greater Waterbury do their readers trust to deliver the goods.

Earns Certification

Once again, I have earned the Certified Professional Photographer(CPP) designation from the Professional Photographic Certification Commission. I have earned this designation after meeting rigorous requirements measuring my artistic and technical competence. The Professional Photographic Certification Commission currently recognizes less than 2,000 Certified Professional Photographers.

The Professional Photographic Certification Commission is the leading body for certifying imaging professionals. Certified Professional Photographers must complete a written examination, an image evaluation, and adhere to a stringent code of conduct. Certification must be renewed on a periodic basis, ensuring continuing confidence in the professionalism of Certified Professional Photographers.

Connecticut Professional Photographers Print Competition

On Monday-April 26th after a fantastic Spring Seminar with Travis Gugleman from Idaho, CPPA held their first print competition of the year. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to stay because my daughter had her first soccer game. I just received the results from the print committee and one of my images which was titled "A Stroll in the Daffodil Field" won 3rd place in the the Creative Category. Bridal Show: Sunday-Feburary 28th
